    DEAR CHRIS,

CONCERNING THE PRESIDENT AND HIS FRIENDS ON GUNS.

    JUST A THOUGHT.

IF THE DESIRE OF THE KILLER AT THE RECENT SCHOOL MURDERS WANTED TO KILL ALL OF THOSE LITTLE INNOCENT CHILDREN HE WOULD NOT EVEN NEED A PISTOL, REALLY.

HE COULD HAVE WALKED INTO ANY ONE OF THOSE OF THOSE CLASSES AND DANCED LIKE A BALLORINA CARRYING A SHARP MACHETTE AFTER THEY ALL TRIED TO ESCAPE AND PROBABLY KILLED MORE CHILDREN AND ADULTS BEFORE ANYONE KNEW WHAT WAS HAPPENING, GOD FOR BID.
LETS USE SOME SENCE. THE GUNS WILL ALWAYS BE IN THE HANDS OF THE EVIL JUST AS ALL THE CRIMINALS WOULD HAVE IT. WHAT WILL STOP ANY CRAZY, SICK PERSON FROM ANYTHING. ANYONE COULD SNAP AND THINK THEY WILL DO SOMETHING BAZAR AND CARRY IT OUT.

I CAN IMMAGINE WHAT THE NEXT THING OBAMA WILL DO IS TAKE AWAY OUR STEAK KNIVES, THEN OUR DINNER FORKS BECAUSE THEY ALL COULD BE HARMFUL DURING A TENSE DINNER. I’LL BET HE WILL NEVER HAVE TO GUM HIS DINNER, DO YOU? I BET NOT…OH MY GOSH, WHAT ABOUT POINTED STICKS? STICKS ARE EVERYWHERE.

Chris, there was a “socialist” theory/concept that was mentioned on the show today about running the country off the map by running up the debt so high we collapse. Could you please share that again?

    Thank you,

It is time to take a stand..

A LITTLE BIT OF HISTORY TO THINK ABOUT…….December 29, 2012 marks the 122nd Anniversary of the murder of 297 Sioux Indians at Wounded Knee Creek on the Pine Ridge Indian Reservation in South Dakota. These 297 people, in their winter camp, were murdered by federal agents and members of the 7th Cavalry who had come to confiscate their firearms “for their own safety and protection”.

Chris, I occasionally catch you on the radio in Houston. Yesterday you asked a rhetorical question in passing and moved on to another topic. The question was something to the effect of “Why do conservatives keep defeating themselves by not being united?”
The answer is that our greatest strengths are our greatest weaknesses.
    We are:
    1. Deontological
    2. Absolutists
    3. Individualists
    4. Uncompromising
    5. Usually God directed
    6. Often in distain of those who are not
In Biblical terms we are in the world, but not of the world.
Conservatives need to develop the ability to avoid letting perfection stand in the way of progress.

Protect the 2nd Amendment. Starve the beast. I suggest a preemptive strike. Starve the beast for one day. Imagine what would happen if every gun owner in the country and everyone else who supports the 2nd amendment stayed home on the same day. Stay home, keep your kids out of school. A literal preemptive strike. It would bring the country to a standstill. It would be a show of collossal solidarity like the world has not seen. A massive act of peaceful resistance. I suggest doing it on the day Obama is inaugurated, Monday January 21. Review the history of modern Poland. They overcame the Soviet system with only the general strike as a weapon. No battles, no shots fired. God bless America.

  7. Paul Brown says:

I’m sorry but Mario Cuomo sounds similar to Adolf Hitler in the years leading up to his power grab…screaming and yelling and telling you what you need to do.

also, note he NEVER says anything about the 2nd amendment.

  8. Norman Barrera says:

Chris – I very much enjoy your show for the fun you guys have and for the practial discussion on national and state issues.

I just heard you interview the professor on executive orders and other attacks on the 2nd ammendment. My gosh – how nice to finally hear a postive note that the 2nd ammendment will stand. However, I am now only cautiously optimistic and only because we thougth the obama care would never happen. Hell, we never thought an obama style presidency would happen.

Is there a podcast of this show (aired 1-9-2013 on KLUP)?
I want to share the podcast with my brother (former state and county prosecutor), coleagues and fellow republicans – who are mostly my fellow apathetic conservatives!

Most of all I want to relay that we may have a second chance to fully protect our rights – and we can continue to keep the world, the criminals, these wolves…on notice, that the sheep dogs in these United States can and will bite to protect our freedom for our family and country.

Thanks again for your show. God bless and stay strong!

  9. C Calame says:

    Well aware that the opinions and belief of men depend not on their own will, but follow involuntarily the evidence proposed to their minds;

    that Almighty God hath created the mind free, and manifested his supreme will that free it shall remain by making it altogether insusceptible of restraint;

    that all attempts to influence it by temporal punishments, or burthens, or by civil incapacitations, tend only to beget habits of hypocrisy and meanness, and are a departure from the plan of the holy author of our religion, who being lord both of body and mind, yet chose not to propagate it by coercions on either, as was in his Almighty power to do, but to extend it by its influence on reason alone;

that the impious presumption of legislators and rulers, civil as well as ecclesiastical, who, being themselves but fallible and uninspired men, have assumed dominion over the faith of others, setting up their own opinions and modes of thinking as the only true and infallible, and as such endeavoring to impose them on others, hath established and maintained false religions over the greatest part of the world and through all time:

This excerpt from Jefferson’s Original draft on religious freedom in Virginia explains why we must have a clear separation of church and state. To be able to think and speak our religious opinions without any imposed restraint or coercions from our government is our most prized freedom.

I miss Dan – who is sometimes reasonable. The top crime in school is? Do you know? It is theft. These very teachers who cannot keep track of their money, ATM cards, cell phones, the school’s computers and cameras are the ones you want to give firearms! Not brilliant, i think the word is idiot.

  11. David says:

    Chris,
Can you arrange a protest at the Mexican consulate here in Houston? I can’t believe they are holding our Marine when he actually tried to declsre the weapon. You get the ball rolling, and I’ll be there.

  12. Thor says:

    TAP program idea.

Texas allows for reserve police officiers.
Reserve officers must complete the academy.
School districts have their own police forces (HISD Police)

    Here is my idea

1 – Create a mini academy (no driving, how to do traffic stops and things like that)

2 – The “Restricted TCLOSE Certification” is then issued only to educators

3 – The “Restricted TCLOSE Certification” is sponsored by the school district

4 – The “Restricted TCLOSE Certification” is only valid while it is sponsored by a school district

5 – The “Restricted TCLOSE Certification” Must be renewed and CE class are required just like regular LEO’s

6 – The new “Restricted Reserve Officer” has a restricted jurisdiction of the school district property for which they work in

7 – When at school functions not on district property the “Restricted Reserve Officer” will have jurisdiction if it is a school sponsored event.

8 – Pay the new “Restricted Reserve Officer” an extra 150 – 200 per month

    How to pay for it…

1 – Open it up to all CHL holders

    2 – Charge $350 – $500 for the mini academy

3 – For each CHL holder that takes the class $50-100 goes to pay for an educator to take the class for free

4 – Increase the cost of the CHL from $140 to $200 – use the additional $60 for equiping the educators (badge, gun, handcuffs)

5 – not sure how to pay for number 8 above yet

  14. Matthew says:

    Chris,
Always thought you were one of the sharper knives in the drawer but…..
I am glad you are still advocating protection of the 2nd ammendment but you are pandering to the hysteria with your arming teachers nonsense.

  15. Bob Slovak says:

I tried to call in, but couldn’t wait out the list. I agree that the right answer is to arm teachers.
First step, change existing CHL law to eliminate the carve-out for schools. Teachers can go to jail for even having their carry weapon on the parking lot.
The legislature needs to address that failing FIRST!

    Hello, DAN? Step up, here!

  16. tom neal says:

    Chris

I liked your idea about class rooms. I would translate it to: Every ground floor classroom with an exterior wall should have an emergency exit to the outside.

Add to that: Every Texas classroom should be equipped with a firearm safe that operates with a code and a key (or badge), To be used at the discretion of the teacher in that classroom.

Plus one more thing: Texas Teachers (and other school workers) with Texas CHL’s should be allowed to carry to school and should be giving a small bump in pay as compensation. $5-$20 per month.

I’ve been listening for a few years but after today, no more. Your comment ‘hyphen-named broads’ proves to me the lack of respect for women. Many times during the presidential campaign you would all say something about how people complain that Republicans are old white men. Well, maybe you should all look in the mirror. How many women or people of color are hosting/guests on KSEV? And please tell Ben: enough with the very tired saying ‘at the end of the day’. Geez, we could pay off the US debt if I had a dollar for every time it was said on KSEV between 4-6pm weekdays.
