(SRN NEWS)-The city council is debating legislation that would protect so-called “non-monogamous families” under the Big Apple’s Human Rights Law. Polyamory — sometimes called group marriage — is beginning to be embraced by lawmakers in a number of cities, primarily in liberal states such as California, Washington and Massachusetts. The surge began shortly after the Supreme Court legalize gay marriage back in 2015.
