(Los Angeles, CA) — An extreme heat wave is roasting Southern California. Los Angeles on Friday broke a daily record of 102 degrees at about 1pm, and the National Weather Service says it may have even gotten hotter by late afternoon. Forecasters say the heat wave could spread triple-digit temperatures across Southern California for the next week, and could increase the risk of wildfires. Dodgers fans expecting to see a playoff game in Los Angeles this afternoon are being warned that today could be another 100-degree day.
