(Tallahassee, FL) — Florida Governor Ron DeSantis is out with an update on conditions after Isaias [[ ee-sy-EE-us ]] made landfall in the Sunshine State as a Category 2 hurricane on Friday. Isaias roared ashore near Destin with winds topping out at 110 miles per hour, bringing with it several feet of storm surge. Power outages have hit over 430-thousand customers in Florida, 320-thousand in Alabama and more than 125-thousand in Georgia. The governor said said there were no confirmed deaths when asked about a report that one person had been killed by a falling tree.
